The VCFSE sector works with an enormous number of people every day. Some of this work is commissioned by the Public Sector or funded by charitable trusts that require a report on the number of people helped or ’units’ of service delivered. However, much of this is often overlooked by potential funders, partners, or decision-makers. The scale of what is contributed to community life and wellbeing by local voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups is enormous.
This area of the Insights Hub is where we can start to address that. We have developed a spreadsheet template for you to complete with some basic data and upload. We can then translate your data – along with that of other groups – into combined numbers to show the enormous volume of actions the sector takes every day to support people and improve lives.
Using this tool, we can map activity across the county and overlay it with data about need, helping us to target our support and identify gaps—a really powerful tool.
